My travel bucket list

After I finish my studies at the University of Adelaide, which will probably be around 1 December 2017, I can finally relax and enjoy my free time. I am so excited to travel in Australia and Asia, as I have only done this in Europe before (and once in Indonesia with family). Even though I haven't made concrete plans yet, I have some places in mind I would really like to visit. So here's my bucketlist for this 'summer' (in Australia summer starts in December)!

Sydney, Australia
Obviously, a place in Australia I NEED to visit. Some of my friends will be studying there, so I definitely want to visit them and explore the city. In September I have my spring holiday, so I have two weeks off to travel and do fun things. Perhaps I will travel through Australia around that time and visit Sydney. Other cities I'd love to see during my stay in Australia are Melbourne and Brisbane.

Bali, Indonesia
You probably expected Bali to be on my bucketlist, as I feel like everyone's going there. Although I've already been to Bali many years ago, I loved it there and I would really like to go back, just for a week or so. And my grandmother was Indonesian, so I kind of feel like I can't NOT go to Indonesia, haha.

To be honest, I don't know much about Myanmar but I've seen amazing photos. I've already read about the country a bit on the internet, and it seems to me like it's a very authentic and quite nicely organized country. People who've been there always tell me to go in the next five years, otherwise it will loose its authenticity due to tourism. I'm really looking forward to exploring this country!

Palawan, the Philippines
Again, I've only seen pictures of Palawan, but I hear it's one of the most beautiful islands of the world. Even though it's quite small, the nature is stunning (as you can see above in the picture). I would love to go there to lay on the beach, relax and read a book.

Wulingyuan National Park, China
At first I did not really have an aspiration to go to China because there were so many other things I wanted to see in Asia, but I watched a documentary lately that showed me this amazing national park. I've never seen anything like this before, and I think it would be very impressive and beautiful to see in real-life. I'd love to wander around there and have nothing else on my mind than just enjoying the view.

I had no idea this was even a possibility, but one of my friends talked about Hawaii and immediately I felt like I needed to go there. I didn't think of traveling around the world completely (as from the Netherlands to Australia is of course the other way around), but if I want to go to Hawaii, I've literally traveled around the world. How amazing would that be? I've already searched for flights, and if you book wisely you can definitely book a cheap one. I even found a cheap flight from Hawaii to San Francisco, so who knows I'll be there in half a year...

I'm so excited to travel through Australia and Asia, and writing about it makes me excited even more. I cannot wait until I have my summer holidays in December, so I can explore new countries and wander through them...

If you have any recommendations, please let me know!
